I have a NOS de Bernardi (Zonal tubeset) road Frameset that I'll be installing a vintage N.Record bottom bracket in.
I know you're supposed to really tighten down the fixed cup to prevent it from loosening on down the road. Given this frame's BB shell is aluminum, about how many foot pounds should I apply to this steel cup? I certainly don't want to over-tighten and risk stripping-out the shell's threads, but I don't want to have to revisit this sequence to re tighten any time too soon either.
By the way, the threading is Italian and I'll be using plumber's Teflon tape to help keep this cup secure, post-mounting...
