It is hard to put into words how truly awful that is.

Ha. I thought that bike was a riot -- making fun of so many of the affectations in bike culture. Then I saw the $3000 price tag and realized it wasn't meant to be.

So if I put my choice of parts on a "custom" frameset, does that make it a custom custom ?

That is truly hideous...

I think he just typo'ed an extra 0 on his price, though that would still be a bit steep.

Aerospoke front wheel for superior aerodynamics and a Brooks saddle for all day comfort, well thought out IMHO:rolleyes:

I try not to be judgmental about bike choices, but that's a straight up abomination. Sure looks like a stolen bike with some added parts being sold by someone with no grasp on the reality of bike pricing. Anyone willing to drop $3k on a track bike would not ride something like that.

That's either stolen or a rolling garage sale. Or both.

I see crap fairly similar, fairly often on the Portland CL... so the bike itself isn't super shocking. However.... that price tag is absolutely insane.

No uglier than a Serotta with a flame paint job or faux wood paint.
Or a XS frame with 40mm of spacers and an up-turned stem.

Same price too.

Hey, wait a minute here. We're getting a bit sensitive here about the flame paint job.

And that Spez was mine. It took serious effort to rattle can that front wheel. You should have seen it with blue tires. Then it was really rad.

No one noticed to dice valve caps. $3000 is a steal if those are included.

If you don't like the wheelset, I can check out this local option link (http://westslope.craigslist.org/bik/4966611881.html).

I spoke with the seller, price actually is in reflected in Pesos not USD, he will be taking a trip down to Mexico soon to obtain pharmaceuticals and get some routine blood work done in order to dominate the spring 2015 coffeshop circuit.

Word!

Has two wheels. Goes by leg power.

I bet the owner is faster than most of us fatties sitting in front of the compy.

If this bike had drop track bars and dropped a zero off the end of the price, I'd actually be interested.

Was just reading how swapping parts from stolen bkes is one tactic that
thieves use.

I bet the owner * can do more backwards circles and long skids * than most of us fatties sitting in front of the compy.

Fixed it for ya

What a beauty! Everyone is being so critical because they don't recognize what is truly a piece of art... ;P

It would take some cojones to ride that thing around.

I knew that frame looked familiar. I paid around 320 shipped eBay for the f/f/hs and seat post though.
