If you could only have one bicycle, would the frame be made out of steel, carbon fiber, titanium, or aluminum? You must choose only one or else CNN won't accept the statistical parameters of the survey. atmo

If this is the mother of all polls, there can be only one response: the mothership itself, piloted by a Captain Beefheart. (1)

p.s. I voted for steel.

I do only have one road bike, and it's steel. I really like my Fierte and don't miss my Al Trek at all.

Wouldn't Campy vs. Shimano (vs. Other) be the true MOAP?

(+1 for steel, BTW)

I would have said steel, but now I am not sure. If the titanium bike could be tuned to basically ride like steel, I would choose the titanium.

stupid question. it doesn't matter what the frame is built out of. adequate bicycles can be made out of any material.

dude-
the jerk is looking at two right now. one's on an old spx team merckx and the other is on the drunk bike. (a blue holdsworth set up as a fixed gear with a tubular rear wheel (d/a hub 36hole cxp 30 rim...) and a clincher front wheel; (high flange record hub some hurtin campy 36 hole rim; built two cross because those were the only spokes available.) oh, it has 7410 d/a track cranks in 175 and and a moped chain on it. it's only redeeming quality is its slightly bent set of cinelli 65 bars.)

you need some deda campiones. then maybe you could get rid of those mp spacers and put the right fork back on your bike. go listen to the tom boonen song again and get inspired. riding in the drops is so 1992.

Lucky me!!! I have four frames. And they are all steel (2 lugged and 2 tig'd). :)

I prefer Unobtanium, I hear it's crazy light, super stiff, and can be assembled with Fast Tac. Until manufacturers embrace this material, it will never be profitable. I'll defer to carbon fiber.
