Hi I'm building a new Neo Primato and was wondering if anyone runs 27mm tires on them. I have a couple of bikes with the Open Pave 25's and love the tire but would like to try the 27's on this one. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks,

Marty

I wouldn't call that rear "cleared." Your rear tire will pick up and deposit a lot of junk in your rear brake, much more when you ride on wet roads, and it will sit there, rubbing your tire. Then you'll try to use your fingers to remove the junk without getting off the bike, hopefully without injuring yourself. Do yourself a favor and use a 26mm Grand Bois Cerf, Compass Cayuse Pass, or something similar.

I had the same issue with a titanium bike that drove me nuts, especially climbing Fort Ross road in dense fog. I had Dan Nelson in SF move the brake bridge up 2-3mm that made a world of difference. Not that I would suggest you do that with a De Rosa.
