Carbon wheels in coupler case?

Have any of you traveled with carbon wheels in your coupler bike case? I've traveled with aluminum wheels quite a bit without incident but haven't tried carbon hoops. Any success or (hopefully not) failures in doing so?

Depending on frame size, I think the big issue with most carbon wheels is the increased rim depth compared to aluminum, which could make packing more difficult.
