I am really surprised on the TV coverage of cycling events in the US.

NBC SN had full coverage Paris-Nice but they are not picking up MSR.

Does anyone know what channel is carrying the race tomorrow?

thank you

NBC Sports has the rights (http://velonews.competitor.com/2015/02/news/watch-pro-cycling-u-s-year_361749)

That is a different question from where to watch it, or if it will be broadcast live, and what kind of terrible commentating and/or near constant commercial breaks you'll have to deal with.

Best to find a eurosport stream and just watch that, IMO.

I wish I could do a kickstarter campaign to start a fan-funded cycling channel that would consolidate the patchwork of broadcast rights, and be the US version of eurosport. Own the rights for every race and make it easily accessible online via a subscription or low one time cost. God, that would be awesome.

Anyone using a country shifting VPN to access the official Eurosport stream? Thinking of trying it for a better quality picture vs the low quality pirate streams...

I am thinking of doing this if I can find a safe vpn provider.

Mark, I believe you can do this, but don't quote me on it. Here's a link. (https://twitter.com/Cyclocosm/status/573935462479364096) I thought there was a more substantive discussion on the topic, but I'm not sure.

I usually have pretty good success finding coverage for most races on Steephill TV (http://www.steephill.tv/). Although, sometimes that don't always have an English broadcast.

Just looked at NBC Sports upcoming cycling coverage, and sadly MSR isn't listed...

Here's the more substantive discussion I was talking about. From this, it is unclear if he is accessing the eurosport app (which I think is its own subscription service with geo-restrictions) or just trying to watch races that are georestricted via free sites in other countries. (if that makes any sense)

Hola for Google Chrome, set country to France/Italy/Belgium, get the links from Cyclingfans.com

Bonus: Get a Chromecast and you can watch it on your plasma! ; )

Thanks, Matt... What I was thinking of doing is mentioned here- http://inrng.com/2015/03/tv-pirate-feeds-vpn/

I'm already paying for a VPN that would get me the European IP. Just haven't tried the actual Eurosport service (yet)

Have used Hola to get Sporza and RAI streams, but they are low quality and don't have English commentary.

If Eurosport Streaming had on demand replays, I'd go for it... probably not worthwhile considering I'm usually busy at work or outside riding when races are going on.

Cosmo at Cyclocosm pays for a VPN service he recommended recently to tunnel in to get footage for his race recaps. Can't immediately recall which one he was recommending.
