Looking for a recommendation for a wheelbuilder focused on MTB wheels. Reach out to Luxe with no response so figured I would see who people recommend in the Boston/NH area. Looking at something built around Chris King disc hubs but beyond that, not sure about rims and build specs for my riding style weight. Figured a wheelbuilder with lots of MTB experience would be good to speak with.

Thanks

Warren

I just got my 4th set from John yesterday. All are spectacular and he's a great guy... I'm pretty confident he would meet or exceed your expectations.

I've had 2 pairs of mountain wheels from Colorado Cyclist, one with King and one with Hope. MY friend has 2 King wheelsets built on carbon rims from them as well. Wheels have been perfect.

Sorry, reread and not in Boston but they ship for free.

Not local but Dave Thomas speeddream.com
He has built wheels of all sizes for me over the years.
He can build a light wheel that lasts.
He is quick and easy to work with. Works best when you call him.

Ergott builds nice stuff too.
Built me some wheels that I decided to use for gravel/dirt.
I dented the crap out of the rims but they were still straight and true.

Ping me. I know a thing or two about mtb.

Dave Thomas of speeddream. He specializes in MTB wheels and has built them for pros in the past. I have a set and they are the best wheels I ever owned.

I own a set of Eric's mtn wheels as well as several sets of road wheels. You will not find better, only peers and not many of those.
