Wow! This is my all time favorite MTB group. I just sold a NOS Homegrown frameset that this would have been perfect for...

Really, really nice! If my Nature Boy Zona sells soon, I might just put the money straight back into this group, haha. :bike:

i've got some inquiries asking to split this up,
which at this price i'm not really too interested in doing at this point.

Is there someone on the fence looking to pull the trigger on the groupo?

In a parting kind of guy but it seem a shame to split that group up.

yeah, i'm thinking the same thing. A used one of these Ritchey cranks
sold for $300 on ebay about 3 days ago, a new one fetched $850.
Am i crazy?

i've seen some of those crazy prices on the Ritchey by Sugino cranks and just dont understand. I bought a used, a tiny bit beat up set of the cx version for $40 recently w/o BB or rings. That was a nice deal I think. I think like 100 - 150 for your NOS set w/ rings and bb would seem fair on both ends. But if you can post em on ebay and potentially get ~300, go for it.

and you should keep the xt stuff together, but selling the cranks separately would make perfect sense.

that's about what i thought,

it's probably worth much more- yet i've got lower offers :bike:
that's the thing about classifieds, it doesn't matter what price
you put, some folks will offer less.

here's the theoretical math on the group priced at $380:

$100 ritchey 170mm crank 22/32/42 with matching english 68mm bb
$70 xt sti shifters
$5 xt 28.6 camp front der (slightly used)
$40 xt rear der
$40 xt 11-28 cassette 8 speed
$20 xt IG chain
$50 xt 32 hole hubs cassette 135mm qr
$50 xt canti two sets
$5 xt headset 1" threaded

you know you always gonna get the low ballers, you should write on the OP that you don't take offers and this is your absolute low. I am sure some people will skip over that and still send you an offer but it doesn't hurt.

Definitely not a bad idea.

I've been a member here for more than 10 years.
most of the old timer's know me, and my stuff which is always
extremely well kept, and that I offer a really fair price here,
I like to pass on great deals to the members.

I have no problem with low offers, i just try and be polite and
if i'm offering a great price and happen to stand firm, i don't want to be
insulting to people who are making an offer by not taking their kind
offer - i hope they see the value i'm proposing and are willing to
buy from a forum pal. it's worked really well here for years.

Beautiful stuff. I wish I had a worthy use for it.
But where did the $381.27 come from?

That stuff isn't worth a penny over $381.26!

just trying to be humours, sorry if that didn't come across.
I loved it when a certain someone used to say
"contact me if you are interesting" on their listings,
this place shouldn't feel like eBay, right?

But time is money, so if someone offered me $370.23 plus
actual shipping, should i turn it down? Is there really a
point to offering a forum pal $11 less than the asking price?
Aren't all these numbers just pulled from a hat?
Ok, enough from me already. PLEASE BUY MY GROUP!

Oh man, if only I had a 1994 MB-2 or something. I am in love with this group and have nothing to hang it on. Sigh.

Such an awesome timepiece! I contemplated buying this just to rid all the mismatched, perfectly functional newer parts from my wife's mid-90s commuter and restore it to its period correct glory. This group would have been perfect, but it would've been a waste of money since she could care less about this stuff ;)

Glad it is going to someone worthy !
