I've ridden the 27mm Parigi-Roubaixs, loved them. Are the Criterium "just as good" for more of a road tire? 25mm or so. I love the gumwall look, and the overall feel of them.

Should I be looking at Vittoria instead?
Ideally I want to get both my bikes set up, 25mm on the race bike, 27 or so on the "other" bike. Tan sidewalls a huge plus... ;)

If they're the tubulars, avoid them like the plague. Consider this a warning from the Ghost of Crappy Tubulars Future.

Ha, thanks sorry. Meant the clinchers. I had the PRs in 27mm, loved them. Rode them on and off road, gravel, etc...

I had some Challenge Criteriums on a team deal many years ago. I thought they were great (not too harsh, good grip). I rode them a lot, over gravel too. The wear seemed ok too. I've not ridden that many good road tyres to enable a good comparison though.
