The article doesn't say - I assume the riders suffered after riding over the caterpillars and getting hit by smashed caterpillar debris? That's freaken crazy, either way. I already have to dodge the giant furry caterpillars we get over here toward the end of summer, just out of a humane heart - now I have extra cause for not wanting to squish them.

As to the nails/tacks - that's super lame. I've also heard people do that on the Seattle-to-Portland, which we'll be participating in this year. What the fack is wrong with people? So much hate in the world - people have way too much time on their hands to sit and stew on everyone they hate and how they can spite them.

Someone intentionally spilled oil in key braking areas on the downhill portion of Glendora Mountain Road: http://patch.com/california/glendora/reader-thinks-oil-spill-glendora-mountain-road-deliberate-0?utm_source=article-mostrecent&utm_medium=rss&utm_term=community+corner&utm_campaign=recirc&utm_content=aol

Amazing the depravity of some people.

Not April first, they exist, don't even need to touch them apparently, though that helps. I've never seen them myself but I've heard enough to always keep an eye out for them along the roads. Not at all something to mess around with and definitely a serious risk. Life is weird.

A guy posted pics of wheals on his back so I'm guessing everyone was lying in the park afterwards. Or is was like caterpillar-nato!
