what are some typical delivery times to the lower 48? i've got something on the way sent canadapost and it's passing 2 weeks now. tracking number indicates it was sent on time but took 5 days to get to the border and it's been sitting in chicago for like 10 days.

2 weeks is about normal, 3 weeks is uncommon but nothing unheard of. The only place that's slower to get a package from than the U.S. is mainland China. I have no idea why this is.

Bikeflights.com is a good source and will tell you times also check Amtrak if available .. I have shipped stuff via freight before for cheap and all you have to do is take off your pedals and turn your bars

haha.
just checked up on it again. should arrive today or tomorrow.
so to recap:

from our neighbor to the north, its taken almost a month
from the east coast to west coast, 5 days ground
from the uk, 3 days to my door.
that makes sense.

The shipping time isn't what kills me with Canada to USA.
Its the price.

Big box items like a bike and wheels ... I'd sooner drive my butt down to the border to ship it from USA to USA.
