I recently saw a cyclist with a wide insulated wire thing strung through the rails of his seat. This bendy thing could be used primarily for tieing up a windbreaker rather than putting it in a jersey pocket.

Does anyone know what I'm speaking of and what the brand name is?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I think I saw them at Lowes(maybe HD) around Christmas time. They were located in the area near bungie cords and rubber straps. Damned if I know what they're called.

Very slightly OT, but:

You can also get velcro webbing in about any length you like--good for jackets, tubbies, whatever, and no sharp edges or ends anywhere. REI (and likely any camping store) will have some, and I imagine that fabric stores would carry it too.

I sell them for 7.49 a pair, they're called twist grips. I buy them from J&B Imports. Your LBS should be able to get them for you if you can't find them at Homer or Lowe's.

This is what I have seen under the bike saddle.

Not that brand, a generic copy but the same otherwise. Good for somethings but not everything. 34" long, black.

I was in Lowes today, they are called Kwiktwist, and they are right with the bungee cords.
