Searching through the forum now. Thought i'd drop this here for some extra help. I plan on purchasing a FHB for a wheelset I own. However... I dont know which exact FHB I need...

Hubs are Black Campagnolo Record 11spd

I want to convert to 11spd Shimano :)

Want to make sure, for anyone who has done it, if this would work....

You could just put a campy 11 cassette on there and run it as is with your shimano 11 drivetrain. All 11s wheels (with their appropriate 11s cassettes) are interchangeable among Shimano, Sram, and Campy.

Campagnolo Cassettes are expensive :(! !!!

A Chorus 11 cassette from the UK shops is about the same price as the FHB you're looking at. Would limit you to one gear ratio, but something like a 12-27 should cover you for most any situation. Just a possibility if the FHB you are looking at won't work with the record hubs.

....but they wear fantastically well. As Batman mentioned, you can find some great deals on them. I wouldn't go that direction (buying the free hub body)...unless I already had a bunch of Shimano cassettes lying around.

And Campy splines don't get all notched up like Shimano...

Chorus cassettes are double the cost of Ultegra, though. (or more). And Ultegra are lighter...

That would be my question. Record hubs don't seem to be listed in their list of compatible hubs/wheelsets (?).

Latest FHB from Campagnolo is shimano 11s compatible. Just make sure it's the proper one. Gee, do any shimano made wheels have a Campagolo FH option?

I can look up the part number if you wish.

Same FH body for aluminum axled wheels, like Bora, etc

At least the the FHB is made of steel and not Aluminum. The cassette will not dig into the shallow Shimano splines.
