Still waiting for all the info from our hosting site but apparently we were the victim of a cyber attack/hack.

It took a while for them to get things back up and running but we appear to be OK for now.

Keith should have more info later.

I lowballed them down to $175 each. Said they had no other responses. Sorry you guys missed it.

I don't have any details yet, but just know that it was a malicious attack on our server. I don't have the details yet and I don't know why it took so long to restore this either, but I hope to have some answers tomorrow.

Well, then let me preemptively thank you and Keith and the other mods for whatever you're doing to help get us back on track.

The hackers may now know where we all live and the sweet bikes we have.

On the positive side, I was extremely productive at work today ;)

I appreciate the efforts to get the forum up and running again. If the thanks should be directed to Keith, a big thank you.

I did not post, though. The vibe is so weird... atmo. I know I've asked at least a couple times what "atmo" means, but I can never remember. They seem to use it like Smurfs use "smurf."

Paceline is unreliable.... Vsalon has too many sub forums... That's it, I'm starting a new bike forum. Think I'll call it "Across the Hall".

sram?

Why would anybody hack a bike forum? Just cuz they can? Practice for hacking the DOD forum?

Also, thanks Keith. You rock and it's time for me to make a contribution anyway since I sold some stuff. Everyone else who has recently sold should do the same :P

Keith deserves a HUGE thank you from all of us. I can't count how many times he has dropped what he's doing to tend to some technical issue that has laid the forum low. Without him and his dedication we would have WAY many more problems and this place would be WAY less enjoyable.

Thanks guys. I hope to be upgrading our sever platform very soon which should help prevent these type of attacks. But we all know, that if they really want to hack your site, then they will find a way.

I'm not sure how much downtime the upgrade will take, but will give everyone plenty of notice.

And many thanks, Keith. With the server down yesterday, I had to actually do some <shudder> work.
