Seeing the new logo for Rapha/Wiggins collaboration ( http://pages.rapha.cc/stories/rapha-partners-with-sir-bradley-wiggins?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=WIGGINS-USA&utm_content=WIGGINS-USA%20CID_8b9e2feb71eefabf0d483afac4a00dbe&utm_source=campaignmonitor&utm_term=Wiggins ) reminded me of model planes I had as a kid, two of my favorite WW2 fighters were the USA Flying Tigers ( Curtiss P-40 Warhawk ) and the British Spitfire.

Reminded me of a few plastic model kits I have in a box and plan to build "one of these days" ;)

and back to topic...
Jersey colors/design colors are nice- would be nicer with a more subtle reference to Wiggins (instead of the big chest print) and lose the SKY logos.

Plus 1, Rico, built many of the model kits, way back in the day, including some balls out cool Navy Phantoms.

Another fighter/bomber that deserves recognition was the A-1H Skyraider, not prettiest or sleekest nor easiest to fly according to pilots I talked to but boy could if carry a pay load. It was still in use in Vietnam when I was stationed at Bein Hoa Air Base 1964-66.

Why would you paint targets on your planes??

I think the branding is actually pretty cool, but really feel like Rapha shot themselves in the foot posting a mockup of their kit.
The jersey mock (see edit) leaves me thoroughly uninspired, I'm hoping the real thing (see edit) will look decidedly nicer.

Edit: Is that a real photo or a mockup. At a small size (as presented on Rapha) it looks mockup, but larger (as seen here) there are subtle textures and I honestly can't tell if it's a really good mockup or a super-processed photo. Either way it hasn't got me impressed, hahaha

Do kids still build plastic models of planes? I loved doing it as a kid. All the WWII planes. Guess those planes, and that war, would seem pretty archaic to kids now.
