I found it a bit too deep to ride in the park before we got the last 12" of snow. It took me just about an hour to cover 3 miles. Pic is from Jan. 15.

Nice pic vav. When I was a kid, my brothers and I would make tunnels all through the 50 yard section of road in front of the house, which often drifted in 6 or 8 feet deep. I remember my brother bringing out his portable 8 track player and listening to Iron Butterfly.

"Hey kids, get out of the house. Go play in the road."

From the evening of January 26, 2015.

Earlier the previous day during NYC Mayor deBlasio's press conference on the City's snow preparedness for the upcoming blizzard, he advised against entering NYC parks for the danger of possible falling tree branches from the snow & ice. Proving as mayor he was not to be trifled with, NYPD and the Parks Dept. closed all NYC parks after the blizzard that turned out to be less than a snowstorm. Better to be lucky than good. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. NYC got both.

Central Park at the Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street entrance.
