i want to be able to a pierce/connect threaded co2 cartridges to an existing valve with a female 1/4" npt thread. basically i just need the cartridge piercing threaded end of a co2 inflator but the outlet needs to be threaded. 1/4" npt would be ideal, but i can find adapters for pretty much anything else.

alternatively, i'm open to adapting a co2 inflator if there's one that can be readily disassembled to a usable outlet.

fyi, i've tried looking for paintball parts, but they use non-threaded cartridges. some air conditioning repairman sites have regulators but they're way overkill for this and are pricey.

on a related note, what is the pressure in one of these 12g cartridges?

could you gut, then tap the inside of the outlet of a CO2 quick fill adapter? then use a nipple to get out to a threaded fitting?

the cartridge is filled by weight, so the head pressure is around 850 PSI for CO2 @ 70F.
