How do their shorts measure up , I like having a draw string but am tempted to try Bibs , Is this like the debate over Boxers or Briefs :)

And don't ever let me see you with the jersey under the straps.

go big time and get some Assos bibs - you'll never go back. Short (np) of that, whatever you do, bibs for sure.

If the choice is Verge or Voler both bibs are good, the Voler a bit better IMHO, especially the new carbon (for odor and sweat absorption you whackos) chamois.

the coach (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bobbesrs/detail?.dir=8e6e&.dnm=0f07.jpg&.src=ph) doesn't like carbon there.

Jezzz... How about the pockets on the back of the jersey? And all the cloth cramping your waist? Not too cool, is it?

I've tried both and found the Volers to be significantly better than Verge for anything longer than an hour or so. For some reason the Verge chamois does not agree with my butt and results in much irritation at the sit bones. (Assos chamois cream each time.)

Our club outfit is from verge. I like shorts, though I never have understood
the drawstring thing.

I think that we need the fashion police for this thread.

Looking so good,

richie;

Several manufacturers are going that route as the carbon absorbs odor and sweat really well. :D

The material is surprisingly comfortable and soft to the touch.

I believe Cannondale was using carbon fibres made from burned up coconut husks!

I would like to find a pair of bibs that fit me, but at 6'7" I have yet to try on a pair that aren't stretched to the extreme. I've tried every brand that the LBS's have around here.

verge are exceptionally good people and they care about making good stuff. ask for snoop. the stuff holds up and your taint will love you.

decent made bibs, that is, and you won't go back. check out the Giordana Tenax at SierraTradingPost.com, if they have your size. $79 is a good price for those!

btw, what schmo would ever put the jersey inside ??? vest goes inside, jersey out, atmo jack.

Ride on!

Brons2 - You freak of nature you!!! hehe. Lookey, I have a neighbor who is a seamstress. I give her my bibs and some two way stretch swimsuit material that I find at the local fabric shop. She cuts the straps at the top and sews a folded tube of this material back to extend the straps. Sometimes a man has got to know his limitations....get a seamstress ;) Or two.
