What's the normal life of a Campy Record Pulley Set?
I have about 5,000 miles on a set, and they look like new to me.
I'm wondering when I should consider replacing them.

I'm over 20K miles on my Record 10. Same miles on the cassette too…..

I suspect you are good until upgradeitus sets in for Record 12.

I have some on a CRecord rear der that are about 25 years and probably 50,000 miles old.

Thanks guys, I'll take that item off my long-term to-do list :)

Riding conditions, like frequent wet weather, could result in fewer miles. You could compare wearing down of teeth on yours to a new one to decide.

This.

On my road bike, the pulleys have well over 15k and are still in great shape. On my commuter that sees all kinds of bad weather including pit duty during cross season, they needed replacing after about 5k. Mostly due to lack of preventative maintenance.

I give the pulley's a cleaning when I install a new chain.
I put a little grease in the ceramic bearings, but is it better to use a light oil?
