i've already removed a logo on the cage with acetone. it just basically wiped right off. but this one is much more stubborn. i've hit it with alcohol and acetone and left a rag soaked in acetone to sit on it for a bit but basically no affect. ideas on how to remove?

It looks eched into the finish. Guessing you won't get it off without removing the black finish with it.

If you like the cage just ride it and don't worry about what it says.

Invest the savings in a low fee, zero load, dividend paying ETF and thank me later. :D

A small bottle of nail polish might work for little $$. OTOH cages are pretty cheap so I wouldn't spend much more time and money on this one.

I don't get it. You've already removed the bottle cage! Certainly there are others.....

Personally, I'd just shoot over the area with a spritz of flat black spray paint. Or maybe a dab of model paint from a jar.

If you can't remove it, cover it with paint.

Sticker over it with brand of choice.

You left out paint thinner (low odor mineral spirits). I always go in order of severity: water, alcohol, paint thinner, acetone (though I've never needed to go to acetone - one of the others always works).

It's not about how strong a solvent is, but rather whether it's the right one. Alcohol will dissolve tree sap instantly, but water, paint thinner and acetone barely touch it. Water is sometimes the only effective solvent for some inks. If nothing works then the logo is insoluble.

I was given a pair of those cages as freebies. They're not bad, nothing special. The graphic is laser etched, so solvents won't remove it easily. A Sharpie is about the only solution I can see.

yeah, i was hoping for a simple solution. not really worth the bother to get crazy with it. sharpie it is.
