View Full Version : full moon
anybody go for a ride last night with the full moon?
view from Hawk's Hill in the Marin Headlands, looking down on to the Golden Gate Bridge.
we're experiencing a bit of heat wave in SF Bay Area - last night was downright balmy.
riding with headlights off by the light of the moon is truly something to be experienced. :)

Clear sky, bright full moon, with a temp of 4F... My car is under 3' of snow, so I did get in about a mile of walking, but it was hard to really enjoy the moonlight.

I rode home from a friend's a couple of nights ago by moonlight. Snow everywhere and 25 degrees, no need for lights.

On other side of Hawks hills in rodeo valley there are sometimes a pack of coyotes that hang out. Sometimes riding up Bobcat trail those guys yip and yelp. I usually quicken my pace as I ride by.

Very rad. Some friends and I rode last Tuesday in the same area... planning on doing a similar ride next Tuesday.

Here is a picture where coastal trail and coyote ridge trail intersect. San Francisco is in the background. I am usually out there riding either tuesday or thursday nights. We should hook up.
I flew into SFO last night. The moon was awesome from the plane's view.

Coming up over the Sea of Cortez. It's still pretty light down here at 6:15 so not terribly dramatic. The mainland of Mexico is several hundred kilometers 'that way'.

No pictures, but I got in about 45 miles last night after work and it was a beautiful clear night with the moon shinning down here in the sunshine state.

I used to belong to a group that rode the Mt. Wilson Toll Road on full moon nights... eight mile drop into Pasadena, Ca. It was always a lot of fun....

Must be why so much is weird with me right now..full moon. Gotta blame it on something.
I watched the same moon last night while riding in the desert.
