Looks pretty sweet to me, although I wonder why the short top tube. Maybe for a long stem?

Canti posts off the fork? Seems those aren't the original dropouts...

What am I looking at here?

Yep looks like a DKS without the dampeners. For a seller with 0 sales he sure has a pro shipping and sales policy listed. Copied or someone with lots of bad feedback starting fresh perhaps.

This might give a little more insight into the DKS system...

Maybe Dave will chime in, but not sure if it's even rideable without the elastomers...and, my understanding is that they do not exist any longer...

I'm sure it's still rideable, but probably a bit too lively on rough roads.

Canti posts missing is not a big thing. Drop outs are correct. Missing dampening parts is the problem. Still, rare as hen's teeth and I would bid if is was close to a fit.

Hi folks just joined this forum because of that Serotta on Ebay. A little small for me but really interesting. It is an odd frame with such a short top tube. The seller says they are a long time bike shop that has gone thru a transition and they started their Ebay all over again. I was so interested I emailed Dave Kirk and he said finding the dampers are like finding hens teeth! I saw somewhere on this forum from 2009 that someone had all three sets still? Dave says he has further developed a stay with damping, a very big S curve from end to end of the stays. Look at his site.

Dave is a regular contributor on the forum and there are plenty of Kirk owners on here (myself not included- at least not until I save up for an MTB from him!) who love their Terraplane stays. If you've got the option to get a new bike from Dave I'm sure it would ride incredibly.

Oh, and welcome!

I was going to buy the frame ( I have a pair of DKS straps) but the frame doesn't have the holes to mount the straps. I also noticed some other oddities with the frame, different bushing bolts and missing brake stop.
