2015 Campy Athena = 2014? [Archive]

I understand the 2015 SR/Record/Chorus are mostly not backwards-compatible with 2014 and earlier. Is this true of 2015 Athena? Seems like it's the same as 2014 Athena, with the addition of black alloy crank/shifter option.

(Currently Ribble shows 2014 for Centaur but 2015 for all other Campy groups.)

The thumb shifter is EPS style. Athena Skeleton brakes have been discontinued. Those are the changes.

Athena also got RS style ramping on the rings. cable pull is probably the same.

So... sounds like other than the levers, 2015 Athena can mix/match with say 2014 Chorus?

The levers should even mix and match. There apears to be two 11spd cable pulls. Standard 11 (all 2009-2014 and 2015 athena) and Revolution 11 (2015 chorus+)
