Even off-shoring within continental Europe has its blowback.

Sounds like they wanted to move a good bit of the lower-end production to Romania -- chains, cassettes and cables maybe?

I can see why this raises some hackles when you're cutting a fifth of the Vicenza workforce.

Uh oh! I better put an order in for that Campy Record group that I've wanted for awhile before the shortages and higher prices come.

I thought the cooler news on that site was this:

http://www.bike-eu.com/Home/General/2015/1/EDDY70-Honours-Merckx-1694665W/?intcmp=related-content.

14,000 Euros for a Eddy70. And they've already sold 20. I'd like to see one.

I can hear it now, nothing but Shimano vs SRAM arguments. Not a fair fight.

In a few short years you'll be talking to your grand-kids: "Grand-papa, tells us again that story again about those old Campeeknowlow bikes you used to ride so long ago..."

I believe Campy wheels have been made in Romania for quite some time.
