Chief just got back from one of those perfect riding days--tailwind coming and going for 40+ miles. The sky is blue with a few puffy white clouds and the temperature is 75. The bluebonnets and wildflowers are in bloom in South Texas despite the lack of rain. Just makes you feel that it is great to be alive and able to get on a bike and take advantage of all of this. Forever thankful.

*not a political link...just like the way he sings: "I saw miles and miles of Texas, all the stars up in the sky.

Ahhh, texas swing and spring. You are the lucky one.

"He's Kinky Friedman, as much a part of the Lone Star state's landscape as cattle and sagebrush, who's now decided the Texas governor's mansion would be a fitting place to hang his hat." As much as he maybe a part of Texas' landscape, I didn't see him this morning.
