Ritchey BB Black vs Blatte

I am considering some Ritchey parts for a new build but am a bit confused about the finish options. What is the difference between BB Black and Blatte. I have googled but I still can't make sense of it. I was planning on using the superlogic stem and post but prefer alu for my bars.
