Which short reach brakes of the last few generations seem to have the most clearance for fenders? I'm planning on 700x23s but just want to give myself as much space underneath.

The last thread here (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=135789) seemed to suggest the 7800 brakes were pretty good. Any comments on those vs 7700/7900/SRAM/Campy?

i've got a lot of different brakes on a lot of different bikes now. out of the modern, short reach category, the 6800 brake i've got on the front of my fixed gear bike seems to be one of the best in terms of overall clearance. of course, the mounting point on the frame makes the most difference, but those brakes seem to have the best overall space.

11 speed Shimano (5800, 6800, 9000). If your brake bridge is high enough to get the pads down on the arms, clearance is exceptional.

Cool, thanks all. Is there any problem with using generic Tektro brake levers with the 11 speed Shimano brakes? I thought I read somewhere they have a different pull.
