I did not realize the Cannondale cranks cost that much. Ouch, but obviously a good product.

I guess the review is interesting, but don't see how anyone would base a purchase decision on the review. Don't see any of them slowing most folks down, even the old Campy Record Square taper.

And hey, if frame flex is good then crank flex should be great. Just think of all that flex returning to drive the pedals forward!

The part I think is funniest .... " ... Compatibility with all the bottom bracket standards on the market."

The unintended irony.

Most interesting thing is that you do not get anything from a performance perspective from a $1000 crank versus a $500 crank, though one would hope the $1000 crank would have greater durability.

i would hardly call this "new", but it's a great resource.

Has anyone tried the praxis/turn cranks? Love the look of aluminum cranks!

Is there a bottom bracket out there to allow one to run Turn (or similar) cranks on a frame with far superior italian threading?

I have those Record square-taper alloy cranks on my bike, so I guess I understand now why I am so slow!

But think of all the weight savings from a $500 lighter wallet!
Kidding aside, if the increase in stiffness translates to better shifting, then you would get a performance gain.
But the DA crank ($640 MSRP) is widely reputed to shift better than most, which has been attributed to the chainrings; the description of the testing protocol does not say where deflection was measured, so its not clear if this would be a factor.

And what about Rotor cranks? A couple comments mention them, but I don't see any test results in the article? Were they tested previously?
