Except quality control, warranty, etc.

I would certainly consider it for a commuter or an errand bike. I'm not sure I'd take it cross country until I heard some reviews.

That XL is a really small bike. They might need to add a XX and XXX to the lineup.

It's a beast if the listed weight is correct. 4.25 kilos equals 9.59 pounds. No thanks.

Here's is their 700c version... http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LKLM-KranGear-Touring-Bicycle-Steel-Frame-2014-Version-World-Traveler-Black-/181635804007?pt=US_Bicycles_Frames&hash=item2a4a566b67

My guess would be they have been building bicycles for a very long time. Most likely outsourced for other named brand companies but seriously, Chinese have been making and riding bikes long before most of us ever considered riding one. :)

You can buy a Soma Saga for the same price as their 700c frame if you shop around and Soma is an established company with a good reputation.

The Humanized design of the frame makes it have comprehensive functions

I'm sold.

I especially appreciate the step-by-step fork/headset assembly instructions they provide. IKEA could learn from them.;)

It's ugly.

$193 and free shipping....how do they do this and make any money?

You are asking the wrong question.

The owner of Bikesdirect once posted the cost of a Asian made steel frame on RBR. Painted Frame and fork was sub $100. Steel Frames are literally $25-50 for parts and a few hours to cut and weld. Another hour to paint.

The Nashbar touring frame and fork can be had for $150 and has been very well reviewed. I would go with that unless you don't like green.

not like there's not a lot of good used touring frame/bikes out there too...like the steel '93 Specialized Sequoia that I posted here for sale back in the fall that no one has bought...

When you can get a Surly Cross Check or Soma DC for about the same price as the 700c frame I listed above what would possess anyone to buy one of those?
I was able to purchase a Cross Check delivered for $360 Link > http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=151390&highlight=Surly+Cross+Check

But have since sold it because I had chance to score a Soma Stanyan from American Cyclery at great savings.

The Stanyan has blown me away, easily one of the best riding frames I've ever owned. It just does everything very well, very smooth ride yet agile enough and responsive to evade deep potholes and debris that suddenly appear out of shadows as well as evading unwary auto doors. Climbs great (but that is more about the operator than the bike) and descends (as the cliche says) like it's one rails (that too is more about the operator than the bike). Anyway just a very understated sublime ride and look at a very reasonable price.

I bet that your computer is made in China. Face it. China is a manufacturing country with good manufacturing.

Not looking to argue or start a China bashing thread but the interweb is full of stories of asian goods, when the manufacturing isn't monitored, the 'quality' can be iffy and the ingredients can be downright dangerous. My computer was made in the USA, btw. I think.

Most Chinese and Taiwanese manufacturing is fine but 'some' isn't, and it's probably a higher percentage that 'isn't' than manufacturing in Europe, Japan or the USA.
