About 2X the price of a custom Di2.

My dad pre-ordered one. After the test drive, he cancelled the order. "Cheap, too car-like, not fast." He spent the money on a new wet-head R1200RT instead. Tough life.

The T-Rex is faster and just as stupid.

A Caterham or Ariel Atom would make way more sense.

Being a Polaris, someone's going to put a lift kit on it, bog tires and a snorkel then piss and moan because it doesn't do mudding very well.

They are made here in town and I have seen a few out in the wild before winter. The guys who have them say they are a blast but they sit awfully low and I would think they would be hairy in traffic. They look like a pretty fun toy and a friend who works there says they are selling a ton of them. Different tastes and all that...

Various 3 wheelers have been made for a variety of reasons - but none them have to do with performance or vehicle practicality.

3 wheelers combine the disadvantages of both cars and motorcycles, without reaping the advantages of either one. There's a reason they have never really caught on.

I'll bet it could be fun to tool around on. The idea of driving one at the limit is a bit daunting I must say.

If I were going to only have 3 wheels I'd go full in and get a Morgan.....more my style.

So I just noticed something odd on that website....... take a look at the two front wheels in this vehicle. One would think it would be good to have them point more or less in the same direction.

Odd.

Say what you want about the T-Rex from Campagna Motors, but that 6 cylinder BMW motor in that chassis is a blast.

The steering wheel isn't pointed straight, and the angle of the photo exaggerates it, but it looks like a go kart set up with full negative caster. I certainly don't understand the steering dynamics of a reverse tricycle, but that's what it looks like to me. A kart needs negative caster to jack the inside rear wheel in a turn, maybe a reverse trike needs it to swing the single rear wheel around?

I hear you. A vehicle like this would typically have 1-2° camber and be running a small amount of front wheel toe in......say 1/16". The car shown has a good 3-4" of toe out.

My guess is that they made up that photo from two different photos - a composite if you will. Certainly if it was actually set up with this massive toe out it would barely move and would not be usable above a walking pace.

Here in the Northeast, avoiding potholes in a 2-track vehicle (car) is tough enough. It would seem impossible to miss with these 3-track numbers !

And I just bought a Polaris two wheeler (Indian). I'll pass on the trikes.

I love the Morgans but I think my first choice would be an Ace Cycle Car (http://cycle-car.com/).
