I love the reference to the ancillary spousal reduction effect. This is spot on and explains why as of right now I'm riding a used CAAD10 with a 6800 group. I've seen the herd grow only to be thinned due to the stink eye of my wife and my daughter's impending college education. One day I hope to participate in N+1 again but it's not going to happen for a very long time if ever.
