Anybody else finding the Tapatalk update to be totally confusing or am I just old?

Yep. It crashes constantly for me as well. I think someone got ahead of themselves in the GUI design department and forgot the importance of basic functioning.

It's pretty bad. Lots of wasted space too. And they keep pushing the Feed harder and harder. I hate the Feed, let me turn it off!

There seems to be a common affliction amongst UI designers of thinking they are far cleverer than the users. Also that their design of six months ago is no good and everyone will rejoice if they change around every single UI element and the entire flow of how the app is used.

I just noticed this tonight. I was wondering if I was losing my mind. Could not cure out how on earth to even navigate the damn thing.

Glad to see I am not the only one.

I hate it. Glad im not the only one. Checked the app feed back on my android device. Everyone who updated is upset. Hopefully they take it back to what it was before the most recent changes

drives me crazy. I want their original interface back. It worked, it was clean, and I paid for it.

I thought I was going crazy - glad to see I'm not the only one. No way to navigate by forum category anymore. It reads like a twitter feed, which is asinine. I'm hoping they realize shortly that the latest update was stupid.

Disaster. Why is there a photo of a football player on the home screen?? Also I can't figure out how to browse by category anymore - the best I can tell is to click on any thread that's in classifieds, for example, then click "classifieds" in the breadcrumbs at the top.

On the homescreen you have to tap the top bar where it says paceline, that pulls down the menu. On that menu only classifieds and general discussion work on mine, despite seeing all the categories. Wish I could uninstall the update, its really unfortunate they 'fixed' it.

I've not encountered any issues with Tapatalk Pro (on iPhone) or TapaTalk HD (iPad).

Posted from my iPad using Tapatalk HD.

Yep. Just want a phone friendly way of reading posts in a format like the original site.
Please stop trying to guess what I think is "better". You're getting it wrong.

Has anyone found an alternative? I'm ready to drop this POS.

Gee, and I thought it was just me being an idiot.

Change for the sake of change is generally not a good idea.

Posted a negative review in the App Store just now. Opinions are 100% negative.

Although since I first posted on the subject things improved considerably, with not a single crash.

Crap, I just spent 5 minutes tapping on my phone just trying to get somewhere on Tapatalk. I'm done. Worst app ever. Now I have to find where to give it a horrible review.

I kind of like the update (Iphone) but it looks like I am in the minority. I do not like the banner ads but I can deal with it.

Still don't like it but I'm getting used to it. More steps to do everything though.

Speaking of the crack team over at Tapatalk... I got an email from them this morning with the subject line, "Here's the latest discussions on your forums". The email included three threads for a forum I haven't visited in months. The one thread they included from Paceline was last updated 41 days ago.

One of my biggest annoyances besides the damn navigation is that you can't really see what thread title goes with what. Or even really see the thread titles in the first place.

Me too. ios crashes and I couldn't figure it out. And I work in UI. What surprises me is that there are no alternatives. This is a prime opportunity for a dev to create a better, easier forum app.
