In Birmingham in England for the day, any good shops? Interested in vintage stuff especially, I'll be in the midlands area for a bit so anything in the area may be if interest.

Thanks

Tricycle pal, I don't know any bicycle shop in England, but I am sure Dave pal do. When you see him, please say hi from his pals on the forum.
Have fun on your trip!

Can you make it up to Leeds? Perhaps you can get a tour of the Bob Jackson frame shop. Woodrup's looks to be a modern shop but they've been in business a long time, perhaps they have some vintage bits around.

Golden opportunity to visit the Brooks factory in outer Birmingham (Smethwick)

It looks like the brooks factory doesn't have tours or a shop, bummer, has anyone here visited?

I have seen pictures around the internet where people have done a tour. If you are nearby anyway worth turning up and see what happens.

<kevinsayles@tiscali.co.uk>; Kevin Sayles is the frame builder at Woodrup
ask him mention Charles Nighbor

I don't think they make (much) tubing there any more, but you might try Reynolds. Say 'ello to Kieth for me if you go.
