You are kidding right?
The most beautiful bike is the one getting ridden. Anyone being ridden. Those don't look ridden. Heck, they barely look rideable.
Sorry.

When I think of beautiful bikes, the first thing that came to mind is either Darrell Llewellyn McCulloch of Australia

Or Firefly.

Their work speaks to me in terms of aesthetics....of course, I like Kirk and
Zanconato too..

The only appealing model was the Cherubim. Not practical, but pretty.

Oh dear. None on my top 10 list. No such thing as a 'most beautiful bike'.

The cherubim is the only one that stands off that group IMO. A lot of other stuff in the market.

Concept show bike... same as happens with cars. I would ride a cherubim like that tho :D

your first post is duly noted.

as for the 'things' pictured, guess they changed the definition of the word 'beautiful' recently.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder... :p

Okay -- Just off the cuff here. . .

A Merckx in Moltenti

A Colnago with Gilco tubes, crazy paint and plenty of chrome

Something Weigle-esque with matching Brooks saddle and tape (honey or brown)

A clean, simple ti bike with pretty welds -- Moots will do

An Orbea Orca circa 2008 -- noisiest carbon bike on the planet but sure is pretty to look at

A few of those Pegoretti things

Something heavy, black and Dutch

A Renovo -- the ride is a little, er, wooden, but damn the thing is gorgeous

Form>Function bikes would never make my top 10. So the only "beautiful" bike I see in that list is the Buffalo.

For an electric bike, I think the Faraday is tops. The picture in that article is not all that flattering though.

Very few of these look like "bikes" in my mind. Though obviously everybody has a different idea of what that's supposed to be, i suppose.

If these were my only choices, I'd stop riding

I would suggest that who ever compiled this does not ride for fear of messing their hair or getting their skin wind chapped

The range of bike design is astounding thanks for sharing. How easy or hard would it be to sell any of these on eBay?

Those bikes are all certainly different. I get the beauty in their diversity.

Those bikes can all still be ridden. I get the beauty in their deliverance of that experience.

Those bikes are all products of imagination. I get the beauty in striving past boundaries.

The misnomer of those bikes as 'most beautiful' is a cheap ploy and there's nothing pretty about pandering.

Ten Boutique Bicycle Builders would be more appropriate. The title is designed to grab you, but it's misleading.

For me the beauty of a bicycle is its simplicity. If you deviate too far from the normal shapes or have too many superfluous curves and swoops it just doesn't work for me. Gentle curves of chain or seat stays can be attractive but a little goes a long way. Even Dave Kirk's terraplane stays took a year or so to grow on me but I now own one and love the aesthetic.

Still go with my own FF. It now has FF seatpost matched to the stem and other carbon wheels.
