Should say the "new" hour record train chugging along.

since, you know, the UCI took the old hour record to the woodshed. But we've been over that before, and I won't rehash it.

It's all well and good, and I'm sure the sponsors get some exposure and broadcasters make some money off these attempts, and I'm sure the magazines will get some column inches to fill those thin January issues... but it's hard for me to get excited about attempts that are unlikely to stand the test of time.

Heck, regardless of how soft the record may have been, I got sweaty palms and a high heart rate watching Jens attack it. Wouldn't really matter who it is, I'd love to watch it (even if they don't quite make it).
