(as seen on BF) posted in general discussion for, well, discussions sake.

I'll start by saying I have no affiliation with the brand, just thinking it may be something this bunch could appreciate.

While more known for their BMX products; FBM bicycle co. out of NY is attempting to launch a line of city bikes.
This is not their first foray in to the realm of big wheels They have been doing an attractive singlespeed frameset for several years. http://fbmbike.co/the-sword/

Certainly a nice looking steed
Price seems reasonable enough considering. If they could knock it down some though, they'd really be on to something.
I am partial to US made bikes, and supporting the little guy (10 or less employees up there)

Cool, I don't remember the whole story, but FBM comes from the "Fat Bald Men" running BMX companies (ie GT) at the time in the 90s.. As an upstate NY kid (well 30+ years ago) I wish them the best. I like the sword model you referenced..

very cool. i got into "cycling" thru bmx and my first aftermarket frame was an FBM.

paceline is really the last place i expected to see the letters "fbm" i bet theres some folks here who would loose their minds if they saw some of their old videos...

and the kick starter has already been backed, by one person, at $25000...

can't say I'm much into the bikes tho. 1700 bones seems like a lot of money for a 2 speed coaster brake bike..no matter where its produced. i do wish them the best of luck.

DOIN' IT FOR ALBERT STREET
