I am looking for 5mm headset spacers that have thin walls. Most spacers are about 3-4mm think while the sides of stems are about 1-2mm thick. This leaves a small ledge or difference in diameter that I just don't like the look of. Does any body make spacers with the same wall thickness as stems???

Moots spacers are fairly thin, I believe 1-2mm, however they only come in one finish/color.

and this set on ebay includes a beveled spacer that might make that transition smoother:

I'd go with the moots, $10 for a 5mm.

I have been searching for a "thin" anodized aluminum spacer for years and found none. I even tried to talk Chris King out of making some thinner ones. I showed them my analysis and testing that it is okay to make them thinner but they didn't listen. Some aluminum spacers look thin with some creative cutouts but the overall thickness still thicker than most stem clamps, so the overhang. Moots Ti spacers indeed match most stem clamps, which is what I have been using. I usually paint these Ti spacers to match whatever desirable.

The 1.125" TI spacers from Toronto Cycles (linked above) are very nice for finishing off between the stem and top cap.

The tapered spacers do a nice transition below the stem. Salsa used to make nice tapered spacers and Look used to include something similar with framesets.

Try searching for "conical" spacer if you want the tapered ones, but the TI ones from Toronto cycles are the business if you just want thin walls.

I wonder if you could bore out a 1 inch spacer to 1 1/8? I didn't like the transition between the thin spacer and the headset so I made these.

I ordered some of these. Only a 3mm difference between the ID and OD. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks to everyone.

I bought some that look just like those, although I couldn't dig up my record of it. They look really nice on a TI Seven with the Ti Seven stem. Becuase the sidewall of the stem is thin, The thicker Al spacers looked stupid.

Try the ones from Ti Cycles. 31.8-mm OD. Available in brushed or bead blasted (to match Moots).
