I hope that someone can give me advice on a fender installation. The front fender has a slotted bracket to attach to the front brake bolt. If I position the bracket so that it does not contact the bottom of the headset, the fender is too low. If I position the bracket so that the fender is high enough, it will contact the headset. Does anyone have any advice? Should I mount the fender so that the bracket bends against the headset cup or do I just need a different type of fender?

Either bend the top of the bracket over, or just cut it off (that's what I did)

Do you mean that you cut it completely off? Or did you just cut it to a given length?

I had this same problem and I ended up making a little bracket out of a coat hanger and attacking it with zip ties. I'm at work right now, but I'll try to remember to snap a pic when I get home.

It's a pretty east solution, and despite my crass description it is actually sort of aesthetic when installed.

Bend the bracket word the caliper so it clears the headset. Piece of cake.

ARGHHH! It looks like the tire-fender combo I have is not going to work even if I resolve the bracket issue. And I am not willing to go with smaller tires. Thanks for the replies anyway.
