Beautiful racing bike!

The red paint scheme rocks.

I wonder how the fulcrums compare with the Campy Eurus.

I would change the seatpost to Thomson masterpiece though. I don't trust carbon seatposts but I weigh 190 lbs.

Enjoy and don't forget to give us a ride report.

Nice looking rig/s. Good component choices also. How about a ride report.

Thanks,
Byron

I like it (although I seem to remember thinking that the blue Nag hanging up in the back looked effin parfait back when I saw pics of it).

Nice stable!

But where are the horses?

I also enjoy hitting the speedbag. Did you ever box?

catulle
03-23-2006, 05:27 PM
I boxed when I was in high-school, then rarely off and on throughout the years until the last time over fifteen years ago. I've been linked to boxing in different ways for a long time, though. Something about the smell of boxing gyms, I'm sure. And then, there is something Zen about the speed bag.

I wonder Thomson has produced seat post in Colnago size?

I only know of Selcof which produce alu seat post in this odd size.

The red fade to carbon weave is a great addition this year - great choice to go with white tape - Congratulations!
Enjoy riding it.

Actually, they fought in 1983 and Hagler won a close and controversial decision.

Catulle,

lovely bike, she'll look great with the summer sun shining off that paint.

does it take time to get used to not having tape on the bar flats?

Hey, thank you for the kind words.

No problem at all not having tape on the bar flats. I thought that the glossy carbon fiber would be very slippery, especially when holding it with sweaty hands but that's not the case at all. I think that in my case the size of the bar is also ideal for comfort. Right on the bend before the flats and where the tape ends, there are some stops which fill the palms of your hands just perfectly. And the shape of the bar below the flats is a bit hollow, just right for resting the tip of your fingers. Ergonomics on the Ram bar is fantastic. The graphics are kind'a hard on the eyes, though.

Cinelli make an even louder one with spider webs all over it (can't remember the Italian rider - Simoni, rode that Cannondale...his model) that SPEAKS to me! they must help the mojo!

good to hear!

Actually, they have five or six different patterns. One is a tiger, the other Spiderman, there is a red one, the regular one, and a few others. A simple one without so much paint and fewer decals would be nice.
