In general, if a hub works with Campy 10spd it should work with Campy 11spd?

I have a Hugi 240 hub that works great with Campy 10spd. Wondering if a 11spd cassette will play nice with the same hub.

Yes the 11sp cogs will fit but it depends on the dish of your wheel whether it will function in practice.

Sounds like all good if I rebuild wheel for 130mm spacing and 11spd cassette?

If you have lots of clearance between the spokes/hub shell and the largest 10sp sprocket, you should be fine.

Just make sure that there is driveside seat stay clearance for the chain to move from the smallest cog to the next larger cog. If your smallest cassette cog is 13t or larger, there could be an issue. This isn't a 10-s or 11-s issue since the interference could exist with either. IOW, if the chain clears the stay with 10-s, it should also work with 11-s assuming the smallest cog has the same number of teeth.

After building up with Campy Record 10-s and a 13t small cog, this frame had to be sent back to have seat stay material removed so the chain would clear.

You're a smart guy so this must not compromise the frame/stay/dropout strength but I wonder: what material, who built it, who did the modification?

Ken, the material is Reynolds 953. Waterford built it probably assuming a 10t or 11t small cog, and Waterford did the modification.

I've ridden it thousands of miles in the last seven years without any issues, and am very pleased with it. The clearance problem was noticed by the LBS as they were building up the bike (American Cyclery, San Francisco) and returned it to Waterford for the mod to the seat stay. Other than delaying delivery for a couple of weeks, there were no other issues.
