Count the number of features that are unnecessary or won't make into the final design.

And to think that these are meant to *encourage* cycling...

No turn signals?

I don't see anything wrong with it.

On 2nd thought it's missing speakers for turn by turn directions.

wore helmets that were more comfortable, packed with useful features and customizable themes, and were lighter to boot. I'd rather wear a tin bucket... but I think that's the idea anyway, make our regular fugly foam lids look stylish and desirable.

No need for that, its got "in helmet display." Of course speakers would be good for Siri's voice telling you to close the gap, or Jens telling your legs to shut up!

What I find most disturbing is the apparent license plate motif back side. Like there aren't enough idiot drivers already complaining that bikes should be licensed!

best reply of the day:

"I'll wear one if at the same time all car seats have devices to give drivers electric shocks to the genitals if they drive aggressively or too close to cyclists, and the passenger airbag is modified to activate if they shout abuse out of the window. The helmet would also need to have "Toby King's an ignorant wanker" written on both sides before I'd consider it."

I think that is the pedestrian version, the cycling version has turn signals.:)

No turn signals?

I assume the "side indicator units" over the ears are turn signals.

The camera should be facing to the rear with its display projected on part of the visor.

Of course this is a NSW based idea. Sydney is the only city thinking about getting rid of bike lanes toay. Seriously:

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/sydney-cycleways-parttime-plan-for-castlereagh-street-bike-path-20141113-11m5tq.html

Next they'll make licenced helmets mandatory. Sigh!

One deluded "designer" does a better job of pointing out the absurdity of bike helmets than 100 anti-helmet campaigners. Good job!

Last I checked, we have ultrasonic proximity sensors built in already. They're called eyes and ears.

I don't know, folks are adding aftermarket front and rear lights, and cameras on their helmets now. Why not get something designed in/on the shell? I'd probably buy one with to-be-seen front and rear lights. It'd have to look more normal and have a 3-5 year life on the lights.

a-ha, I just realized the numbers on the back represent a license number. Tax the operator not the vehicle. Once the 'cyclist don't pay road use tax' crowd see this it will become reality so fast...
