I have a set of Nemesis rims that I have been sitting on now for a while and would like to get them built up over the winter. I am trying to keep the cost down on these wheels and am looking at either the DT Swiss 350's vs the Campy Records. The Records cost about $80 more than the 350's. Any thoughts?

I've been riding bikes since 86 and never ridden campy. I've touched it a few times...
I have a set of 350s on my MTB and cross/gravel grinder they're just like the 240s on my road and full squish bikes. DT America is right down the road from me...so when I say I like their products there is some bias.

I have dt 190 ceramic and campy record 10.

Let's just say neither is going anywhere and I absolutely love both.

How much less are Chorus hubs?

I have some records and they are really nice. Spin forever, nice construction and good looking. They are campy loud when you coast which might not be for everyone

Ken....I haven't seen any Chorus hubs available which seems strange. Almost all of the online retailers just show Record hubs??????

There's no such thing as Chorus hubs anymore.

If I were buying hubs for a set of wheels I'd look strongly at White Industries. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either and they get better with time.

They're really nice hubs, the newest models.

Agree with the White industries and you you get a ti freehub.

Not much benefit to a ti freehub with campy. Aluminum is light and campy splines are deep enough they don't get damaged. White industries hubs are great though.

(Assuming the OP is using campy)

If you decide to go with Campy an online retailer has Record hubsets for approx $220.

Hard to imagine any hub building or riding much better than Campy Record.

Good luck!

Two very good choices. Nemesis rims aren't terribly light, so the weight difference between the two hubs probably isn't a big issue. Much as I like Campy Record hubs (although the newer black ones are no longer bike jewelry), if I was on a tight budget I'd probably go with the 350's.

2 different ways to do the same thing. DT350 innards and such just like DT240-'off shore' hub shell, etc. Cart bearings, no QRs.

Record are Record. Some of the best designed hubs there is, 32h only, black only.

Personally I would use Record, but I have built many DT 240/350 and they are nice hubs.
