Links follow to my Philly Show 2014 flickr albums, for Product and Peeps. I missed Ben Serotta's talk; there were also several other builder-led seminars discussing frame materials, geometry and handling.

The show seemed very well-attended, the aisles were crowded all day, both days. The usual gang of knuckleheads and hangers-on were in attendance, there were also some new builders from far-flung places like Portland, OR and Austin, TX. Most def a great show to visit if you're into KOF steel, with enough cutting-edge modernity thrown in to give perspective.

The Bishop road frame drilled for electronic with disc brakes was my favorite.

What in the Sam Hill is up with the Spinergys?

I though they had all broken or maimed all their users years ago:)

Agree with others here, those pictures are well composed and the photo albums splendid. Very good job with the camera.

Thanks for all the pics. You know the details for the calfee diy kit? Is that something they're marketing to consumers?

I went to the show as well. As far as the dyi Calfee bamboo frame the guy I spoke to said they were very much intentioned for the end user to build. I wouldn't try it myself but if you have some experience with frame building I can't imagine it being too hard.
By far the highlight for me were the seminars I attended, first with Tom Kellog and then the panel discussion with numerous builders including Ben Serotta. Good news is that he is hoping to get back into building frames starting out with steel for now. Didn't have any timeline at the moment but I would imagine the demand would be high whenever he does come back.
The expo I thought was a bit of a mish mash or vendors and builders. The Calfee carbon bike on display was sweet, but last thing I expected to see was a old bike with Spinergy wheels and the Mavic Zap shifters. Bilenky had alot of custom bikes especially tandems.
Hopefully the show keeps getting bigger and better in the future.

... last thing I expected to see was a old bike with Spinergy wheels and the Mavic Zap shifters.

That bike was built by one great builder (Bryan Hollingsworth of royal h cycles) for another great builder (Mike Salvatore of sketchy/seven cycles) and it's not "old" - its brand new! Also, the group is Mektronic (which actually works quite well) not zap ;)

Personally, I think it's refreshing to see builders and riders whose preferences extend beyond the current industry trends.
