Riding after work today
Going past this (https://goo.gl/maps/JT4Py) equestrian estate with several acres of vineyard in front (grapes are a must have thing around here for the nouveau riche).
Anyway, riding past and I look over and see a friggin camel eating some of the vines.
A camel.
Full grown.
Standing there next to the road eating grape vines.
A camel.

You sure it's not a llama?

One hump or two?

People are strange. Camels are strange. People who own camels are possibly quite strange.

One of my favourite riding loops takes me past a small and discreet vinyard with a small tin shed in one corner. In that shed resides an ostrich. I have no idea why, but it's lived there for at least the last 12 years.

uno

I seriously doubt that camel was supposed to be there. It was shredding the vines.

BTW - there are ostriches up the road from the errant camel.
