I've heard of people taking hot tea out on a ride.

Was thinking that warm apple cider might be another option.

Would be nice to have something warm when the chill starts to set in.

I like the Skratch Labs apple-cinnamon hot for both cycling and while I'm xc skiing. Great flavor at those temps and does the same good things their products do when I'm riding in the heat. Makes me more likely to drink in the cold as well since I like the flavor.

Mexican hot chocolate always did the trick for me after the long cold scuba dives.

I'm a hot tea guy in the winter. I use the 40 Below Bottle Boot on a small nalgene.

Nothing nicer than a hot drink on a cold ride!

Mine is:
1 spoon powdered tea with whitener
1 spoon sugar
4 spoons coffee whitener which is mostly glucose
Hot water and small amount of cold to get drinkable temp.
This is my hot energy drink.

+1 for this.

It tastes like a better apple cider when hot.

You could ask jmoore for a Recovered Saddle bidon silencer - they also keep things hot and cold.

ETA - Wrong thread, but I'm gonna leave this here anyway.
