After the first rain in what seems like a millennia here in California (heavy on Halloween night – the kids were astounded and having fun), I was finally able to get out today for about 30 miles, only to see the sad pumpkins that never became jack-o'-lanterns in one of our local pumpkin patches.
Autumn has come quickly here, and the last few days have been good 20° cooler in the mornings before this storm came through. The transitional days here are windy and make for beautiful clouds, and an alternatingly warm and cold ride as the sun ducks behind the clouds.

We got the same much needed rain here in the Central Valley (and some snow in the mountains) that you did, Steve. It turned this morning's ride in the Sierras into a veritable mudfest. I laughed even after flopping over into said mud a half dozen times. Great day.

Edit to add that the 700x35 Clement USH tires performed GREAT in the mud, which was 4-6 inches deep in some spots.

Great Poprad you have there. Looks like you had a fun time. I am planning on hitting some mud tomorrow.
BTW: how did you keep your jersey so clean?

Thanks - I love my Poprad.

No pictures of the back of my jersey ;)
