Spotted on my way into the office, leaning against a dorm at Dartmouth College.

It's a student's means of transportation and likely an effort to cover up rust and a boatload of bad paint. Industrious, whimsical and perfect tool for the job no doubt.

I like the bungee cords connecting the rear spokes to the rack. Poor mans bike lock, but might confuse a would be grab and runner when the wheel doesn't spin.

Hmmmm, things must be going downhill at the "College on the Hill."
The first few years I was there one of these was the most memorable piece of transportation parked behind one of the dorms...

Ratty ass taped up rusty steel bike leaning against a cracked and crumbly brick mortar wall, crumpled up beer can sitting on a neglected pile of slimey leaves and moss.. probably a syringe in there too.
