My daughter moved to Asheville a couple of mos. ago. She's 22, cat 3 and looking for women to ride with. She raced collegiate at Indiana U. and was on an Indianapolis women's team. She rides with a men's group on Saturdays, but the pros make it a little quick for her. Has found a few women pros and some middle aged women who ride more for fitness and collegiality. She'd like to find a women's team and/or some cat 1-3 women to ride with but so far hasn't found any through the local bike shops. Seems to me that in such a cycling-rich area there ought to be plenty of groups, teams, and rides for women. Anyone have any leads?
