I know the 2014 version of this bike is amazing and I have read that the frame has gone through some changes in the recent years, my questions is whether any of you guys that really follow these things know when they happened?

I am looking at a 2012 model and am wondering how different it is from the current model year. Thanks in advance.

hmmmm...nothing..

was my question not clear?

thanks again. I have tried to do some online research but since I am new to this
reading the geometry charts is all algebra to me.

any direction to a resource on this would be greatly appreciated.

I know nothing about that bike. I'd call an LBS that has sold them through the years to get an answer.

Send forum member "Dired" a message, he has a 2014 and possibly an older one.

Here's what they said about the 2013 compared to the 2012:

And here's a thread that talks about the 2013 vs 2014:

They reshaped the tubing a bit for 2014. It's supposed to be a bit more vertically compliant (the design change is obvious in the fork, where it's flattened a bit, similar to the "microsuspension" rear stays). My customers generally think it's still a little stiffer riding than a Roubaix, however.

Tom

Placebo and marketing. The Synapse carbon is a pretty nice ride, I'd have a hard time telling a difference between the 2012 and 2014 when it comes to ride quality.
