Need to tighten chain ring bolts and don't have any Torx tools, so it is time to buy some.

What do people think? Does T-6 - T-25 cover everything I'd need on a bike? I don't wrench stuff very frequently (obviously), but don't mind paying for quality that is easy to work with. I'm just not sure which form-factor is the best to work with on a bike.

or is it time to man up and get some sort of torque wrench/ratchet with Torx bits?

I've got two sets of Torx for working on the bike, a couple of the T-handled Park Tools wrenches for the most common sizes, and the foldable Park Tool mini-tool with all the common sizes on it.

Takes care of all my needs really. I'd skip the screwdriver handled ones, not versatile enough imo. Not sure how you'd use one of those to, say, adjust a rear brake bolt that's Torx.

With campagnolo and some disc brakes manufacturers (if not all because Im not onto discs iso stuff) you might need T25 and T30.

Some manufacturers put like a T15 (something like that) to hold the FD tab and the RD tab aswell.

Besides those 3 or 4 never seen anything else moving around.

What I did was just buy a set of screwdriver tips and extensions at home depot plus a dollar store screwdriver with replaceable tips.

Some stems like the 3T ARX II use Torx.

I'd recommend a T-handle T25 and T30. You really shouldn't need anything else. If you get a torque wrench for stem, post etc, it should already come with a T25 attachment.

SR 11 speed Chain wheel/ring bolts are T30. Just purchased a set of 32 X 0.25" hardened bits with assorted size bit tips this past week for $8.00 at the local tool store. The set included T10 - T50
